A video with only one cut (shot in a single take from start to finish) or longer than 60 seconds cannot become a template. Feelm helps you shoot cut by cut, so if there is nothing to split there is nothing to help with. Try a reel where several scenes are cut together.
That is deliberate. The song in a template belongs to its creator and the rights holders, so Feelm does not export a file with that audio attached. You hear the song while previewing inside the app; only the file that leaves for your photo library is silent. Add the same audio again in Instagram when you post.
Templates made from a link re-download the original — leave the screen open and it fills in by itself. If the original became private or was deleted we cannot fetch it. For a video you added from your photo library there is nowhere to fetch it from, so you will need to add it once more.
Sharing starts the work immediately; open the app and it shows as "Making" on the home screen. You can share several in a row and they are made one at a time. If Feelm is not in the share sheet, turn it on under "More" at the end of the list.
Feelm recognizes the split and pre-selects the number of panels. While shooting, only that panel is shown on screen so framing is easy, and panels you have already shot play alongside so you can match the timing. When you finish, Feelm joins them into one frame.
You cannot change clothes between cuts. So you shoot one full take per look and the app slices them into the cut positions. On the template screen, tap "Does the look change between cuts?" to name each look and assign cuts to it.
Open the cut layout on the template screen and you can add and remove boundaries while looking at the frames. Once a person has corrected the cuts the app does not touch them again.
The Settings screen shows how much downloaded material you have and lets you clear it. Clearing it does not delete your recordings or finished videos.
